Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer
Steven M. Mariano Mr. Mariano is an entrepreneur and businessman with over 20 years of experience in the insurance and insurance services industries. He founded Strategic Outsourcing Inc., a professional staffing company with over $1 billion in sales, which was sold to Union Planters Bank (Regions Bank, NYSE). His success with SOI earned him a finalist position for the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Mr. Mariano later founded the companies that would comprise Patriot National, Inc., a diversified provider of workers' compensation and managed care services including Patriot Underwriters, a national managing general agency, Patriot Risk Services, a national third party administrator, and Patriot Care Management, a provider of managed care services.

Mr. Mariano is very active in the south Florida community and is involved in numerous charitable and development organizations, including the CEO Council of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, Broward County's official public/private partnership for economic development.

Chief Operating Officer
Joe Babin Joe Babin serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Patriot Underwriters, Inc. Mr. Babin has more than 25 years of experience operating, growing, and transforming early-stage and expansion-phase companies. His engaging and tactical leadership skills drive success.

Skilled in strategic planning, new business development, business funding, and risk management, Mr. Babin has served in various organizational leadership roles prior to joining Patriot. He served as the CEO of Kinetix, where he lead the transformation of a small contractor to a large regional, full-scope mechanical, electrical, and plumbing company; he was EVP and principal of Electronic Payment Exchange (EPX), where he and his partners built an international credit card, debit card, and electronic check processing platform that he helped sell for substantial profit and then reacquire; and he served as president of NSM Insurance Group, where he directed the growth and expansion of a regional insurance operation into a full-service, $300 million multi-line managing general agent (MGA) brokerage.

A recognized civic leader, Mr. Babin has served on the boards of directors for Exceptional Care for Children (ECC), The Elwyn Institute, Grace Institutional Pharmacy, Blue Square Energy, and Electronic Payment Exchange (EPX).

Executive Vice President
Timothy J. Ermatinger Timothy J. Ermatinger, CPA is an Executive Vice President of Patriot National, Inc. and as President of Patriot Care Management, Inc., a subsidiary of Patriot National, has responsibility for all the managed care activities affecting medical cost containment throughout the organization.

Mr. Ermatinger has directed the managed care activities as the Executive Vice President of MCRS, Inc., the predecessor firm of Patriot Care Management, Inc. while MCRS was owned by MCMC, Inc. from 2011 to present. He held several positions in the Patriot organization from 2006 to 2011 such as Strategic Planning Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Ermatinger is a highly accomplished senior business executive and corporate officer who has held numerous leadership positions for companies such as; Rachlin, Cohen & Holtz, Broadspire Services, Inc., Kemper National , Willis Corroon Administrative Services, Summit Consulting, Inc., Independence One Mortgage Corp., and Alexsis Inc.

Mr. Ermatinger graduated from the University of Detroit in Detroit, Michigan with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He is also a certified public accountant.

Judith L. Haddad Judith L. Haddad holds the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer/Chief Technology Officer for Patriot National, Inc. Previously, Ms. Haddad served as Vice President of Information Technology for NYMAGIC, a multi-line insurance carrier based in New York. In addition, she held senior executive consulting roles with Blue Cod Technologies and Service Soft Technologies, providing clients with assistance on strategic planning for information technology initiatives and she held various executive and technical management positions with NCCI, CGU Insurance and Hanover Insurance companies.

Ms. Haddad has received various industry accolades for her work at Patriot National, Inc. Most recently she accepted the 2014 Impact Award from Novarica in the Transformation category based on the success Patriot achieved for their legacy system replacement project. In 2013 she was named an Elite 8 recipient, an honor presented by Insurance Technology magazine each year to eight distinguished CIOs in the industry. She is currently a member of the Novarica CIO Advisory Council and an Insurance Technology Association (ITA) advisory board member.

Ms. Haddad holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. She obtained her Master's degree in Business Administration degree from H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and completed an Executive Management program at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

Executive Vice President, National Director of Field Operations
Paul V. Halter Paul Halter is Executive Vice President and National Director of Field Operations for Patriot National, Inc., and is a member of the Executive Committee. In this position Paul is responsible for all underwriting, sales and marketing for Patriot National, Inc. through its regional branch office system. Paul is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).

Paul's career experience began by starting his own independent insurance agency after college which he ultimately sold. He then joined the Crum & Forster Personal Insurance Company. After successful management responsibilities at Marsh & McLennan and Johnson and Higgins, Paul became President and CEO of Commerce Casualty Insurance Company, Ltd.; a workers' compensation insurance captive he founded with independent insurance agency partners.

Mr. Halter joined our organization in 2002 where he served in various positions. In 2007, he left the company and worked in the alternative market and captive arena for several specialty insurance firms. In 2010, Mr. Halter re-joined Patriot as the Regional Vice President of the Southeast Region of Patriot managing all operations in 10 states from our Charlotte, NC offices.

Executive Vice President of Business Development
Forrest J. Harris Forrest J. Harris (“Jeff”) is the Executive Vice President of Business Development and a member of the Executive Committee. In his role at Patriot National, he works with each division to drive growth and manage our carrier partner relationships. Mr. Harris works closely with our partners on product development and implementation in order to facilitate successful strategic initiatives.

In 2006, he co-founded InsureLinx which is the leading payroll based billing system in the country. Mr. Harris’s expertise in the field of “Pay As You Go” billing has been nationally recognized and his input and consultation has been sought by several leading insurance companies.

Mr. Harris has served in various leadership roles with large MGAs and insurance consulting firms and has a diverse background in many areas of the insurance industry. As a serial entrepreneur and industry leader, Mr. Harris has been involved in the creation of several leading insurance technology platforms. Mr. Harris created CompLinx for the Florida Workers’ Compensation Joint Underwriting Association (FWCJUA) as the premier Assigned Risk and State Fund depopulation tool in 2003.

Gex “Jay” F. Richardson Gex ‘Jay Richardson serves as the Executive Vice President of Administration. Mr. Richardson oversees all Patriot National facilities, all corporate insurance and the Human Resources Department. Mr. Richardson is a licensed attorney in all Florida State and Federal Courts, a Florida Civil Law (International) Notary and a Florida Real Estate Broker. Mr. Richardson was previously the General Counsel for the Marquis George MacDonald Foundation, a national medical waste treatment company and an urban renewal real estate development company. Prior to those positions, Mr. Richardson was in private practice of law. Mr. Richardson has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida. Mr. Richardson has extensive experience in real estate leasing, development and construction.

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Thomas C. Shields Thomas C. Shields was appointed as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer on September 8, 2014. Mr. Shields brings to Patriot over 25 years of experience in finance and operations and working with public companies.

Most recently, Mr. Shields was Chief Financial Officer at Lighting Science Group Corporation, a global leader in LED lighting solutions from August 2012 to August 2014. From July 1999 to February 2012, he served in various executive capacities, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, at Anadigics, Inc., a global manufacturer of radio frequency semiconductor solutions for the wireless broadband markets. Prior to that, from 1997 to 1999, Mr. Shields was Vice President of Finance and Controller at Thermo Fisher Scientific; from 1994 to 1997, served as Vice President of Finance and Controller at Harman International Industries, Inc.; and from 1986 to 1994, Mr. Shields served in various executive management positions with Baker & Taylor, Inc.

Mr. Shields holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Todd E. Wilson Todd E. Wilson is an Executive Vice President of Patriot National, Inc. He oversees many of the Company’s operating divisions and collaborates closely with the Chief Executive Officer on all operational, strategic growth and corporate development initiatives.

Mr. Wilson has more than 20 years of experience as an executive, investor and Director of numerous public and private companies in the BPO, technology services and healthcare sectors. He has significant expertise in private equity and has led over $1 billion of investments in growth-oriented companies in his leadership roles at Crane Street Capital, American Capital Strategies and Wind Point Partners. Mr. Wilson was also an investment banker at Montgomery Securities and Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Wilson has served on the Boards of Directors of more than 12 companies, and was Chairman of the Board of eLynx, Delstar Technologies, Global HR Research, Ranpark Corp. and Safemark Systems. He has considerable expertise in corporate strategy and value creation.

Mr. Wilson has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He was also awarded the prestigious Kauffman Foundation’s Private Equity Fellowship for Entrepreneurial Leadership.

Sean Bidic, M.D.
Director, Patriot National, Inc.
Dr. Bidic joined our board of directors in November 2016. Since 2010, Dr. Bidic has served as the Founding President of American Surgical Arts, a plastic and reconstructive surgery practice located in southern New Jersey. He is a board-certified plastic surgeon with added qualifications in surgery of the hand. Dr. Bidic currently serves as an attending surgeon at the Inspira Health Network, Kennedy Health System, Virtua Health System, Cape Regional Health System and Memorial Hospital of Salem County as well as an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School of Business. Dr. Bidic also holds an MFA degree from Carnegie Mellon University as well as an M.D. from Columbia University.
John R. Del Pizzo

Mr. Del Pizzo received a B.S in Marketing Management from St. Joseph's University and an MBA in Finance from Drexel University. Mr. Del Pizzo is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of CPAs.

In 1995, Mr. Del Pizzo founded Del Pizzo & Associates, Certified Public Accountants which specializes in accounting, sophisticated tax planning and financial consulting for entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals. Previously, Mr. Del Pizzo was the partner in charge of the tax department of the Philadelphia, PA office of Pannell Kerr Forster, an international CPA and consulting firm where he specialized in the hospitality, health care and property and casualty insurance industries.

From 1992 to 2000, Mr. Del Pizzo served on the board of directors of Strategic Outsourcing Inc. a professional staffing company and as President of ATS of Pennsylvania, a wholly owned subsidiary of Strategic Outsourcing, Inc. Strategic Outsourcing, Inc. was sold to Union Planters bank (Regions Bank, NYSE) in 2000. From 2003 to 2011, Mr. Del Pizzo served as board member and Audit Committee Chairman of Patriot Risk Management, Inc. which was sold to MCMC, LLC in 2011. From 2003 to 2014, Mr. Del Pizzo served as board member and Audit Committee Chairman of Patriot National Insurance Group, Inc. and Guarantee Insurance Company, Inc.

Mr. Del Pizzo joined our board of directors in 2014. In addition, Mr. Del Pizzo has served in leadership positions of several charitable, professional and civic organizations including the YMCA of Philadelphia as advisory board member, the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County as Chairman of the Board and Treasurer, the Rotary International Club of Ardmore as board member and Treasurer, the Ardmore Rotary Foundation as board member and Treasurer, Llanerch Country Club as President, Treasurer and board member and as Chairman of the Annual Tax Forum of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs.
James E. O’Brien

Mr. O’Brien joined our board of directors in November 2016. Since 2011, Mr. O’Brien has served as Managing Director in RW Baird’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group, specializing in equity, debt and M&A transactions for both public and private companies. Previously, he was a Managing Director at FBR Capital Markets, where he established and led the firm’s Real Estate Private Equity and Advisory Group. Mr. O’Brien received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from St. Joseph’s University and an MBA degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Michael J. Purcell

Mr. Purcell joined our board of directors in January 2017. Mr. Purcell has more than 36 years of professional experience at Deloitte LLP, providing assurance and advisory services to public and private companies. During his tenure, Mr. Purcell served as the Philadelphia Office leader of Deloitte's middle-market and growth enterprise services. In 2015, Mr. Purcell retired from his position as Audit Partner but continues to provide services as a consultant to Deloitte. Mr. Purcell currently serves on the Board of Directors for Capital Funding Bancorp and McKean Defense Group as well as various educational and non-profit organizations. Mr. Purcell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Lehigh University and an MBA degree from Drexel University.
Jeffrey P. Rohr
Director, Patriot National, Inc.
Mr. Rohr joined our board of directors in January 2017. Mr. Rohr has 30 years of senior management experience at Deloitte LLP as well as extensive experience in governance processes having career-long experience serving clients in a multitude of industries and having last served in the role of Vice-Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Deloitte. In that role Mr. Rohr was a member of the firm’s U.S. Executive Committee and its Global Management Committee and was responsible for all the financial affairs of Deloitte. Mr. Rohr is a member of the Board of Directors of American Express Centurion Bank, where he is Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee, Allied Minds PLC, where he is Chairman of the Audit Committee, the Board of Education of the Bronxville School District, where he is President, ChatLingual, Inc., and the Homeownership Preservation Foundation. Mr. Rohr holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida State University, where he serves as Chairman of the College of Business Board of Governors.
Quentin P. Smith

Mr. Smith has served as a director since January 2015. Mr. Smith is the founder and President of Cadre Business Advisors LLC, a management consulting firm that specializes in strategic planning, business performance improvement, capital formation and turnaround management. Prior to starting Cadre, Mr. Smith was Partner-in-Charge of Arthur Andersen's Desert Southwest business consulting practice with responsibility for business development and client engagement management for Arizona and New Mexico. Mr. Smith has business development, growth and operational profit and loss experience across a wide variety of industries. Mr. Smith also has over eight years of diversified corporate management experience. Since 1998 he has served on the Board of Banner Health and chairs its Compensation Committee and serves on its Executive and Nominating & Governance Committees and was previously its Chairman. Since 2014, Mr. Smith has served as a member of the board of directors of Store Capital Inc. (NYSE:STOR) and chairs its Compensation Committee and serves on its Nominating & Governance and Executive Committees. He has served on the boards of the Arizona Public Service Company and Arizona MultiBank. He also has served on the boards of Employee Solutions, Inc., Rodel, Inc. and iCrossing, Inc. until those companies were sold or acquired. Mr. Smith holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Management and Computer Science from Purdue University and an M.B.A. in Quantitative Methods from Pepperdine University.

Mr. Walsh joined our Board of Directors in January 2015. Since 1983, Mr. Walsh has served as the Managing Partner of Walsh Partners Real Estate Development, a real estate development company. In addition, he has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago White Sox since 1984 and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Bulls since 1981. Mr. Walsh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University.
